What is The Ei8ht?
A Houston-based design studio making the Beyond Collection — hardcover journals designed for life's transitions — and GOTS-certified organic cotton apparel carrying the same designs.
What are the journal specifications?
B5 format (7 × 9.8 in / 17.6 × 25 cm), 152 lined pages, 100gsm white offset paper, hardcover with matte laminate and anti-scratch coating, case-bound so they lay flat, with perforated pages.
Do the journals have prompts?
No. The pages are lined, not scripted. Every journal ships with The In-Between card — eight questions you can use as a starting point, or not. Your transition doesn't follow someone else's prompts.
What is The Transition Set?
Two journals for one crossing: Portal, for the ending, and Traveler, for what comes next — boxed together with an organic cotton tote and The In-Between card. A first edition of 10 numbered sets. $44.
Who are these journals for?
People in the middle of a change: a new city, a new job, an ending, a recovery, a first chapter. They're made to be given — there's no greeting card for starting over.
Where are your products made?
Everything is designed in Houston, Texas. The journals are produced to our specifications, then checked, gift-boxed, and finished by hand in Houston. The apparel is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton.
What does GOTS-certified mean?
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certifies the full textile chain — organic fiber, restricted chemical inputs, wastewater treatment, and social criteria — from field to finished garment. Our apparel is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. (Certification applies to the apparel.)
How do the T-shirts fit?
We offer three fits: Classic (true to size), Relaxed (a looser, easy cut), and Oversized (a deliberately roomy silhouette). Each product page lists its fit. If you're between sizes, size down for a closer fit or stay true to size for room.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and ship from Houston, TX. Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking. Estimated delivery is 3–7 business days within the U.S. Free standard shipping on U.S. orders over $50.
